Natalia Harris - Bacchus Ortega 2023

from £32.00

This vineyard was planted in 2019 by Philip and Natalia on 2 hectares with Ortega, Chardonnay, Bacchus, and pinot noir. The vineyard benefits from being south-facing with a clay loam soil. The vineyard is 'no till', meaning we they don not cultivate or plough. There are no use of any herbicides so there is a lot of strimming, hand weeding and sheep grazing.

This 2023 vintage is an improvement on 2022. It is richer with intense peach and saline grapefruit, complex and long, the saltiness is perhaps a bonus from the vines being close to the sea.
